A front porch to the Outdoors

Minutes from your home base, PLAY right where you live... right where you work. Enjoy a ride in a Jeep at Rimrocker Trail. Snowshoe in the moonlight in the majestic but mild winter months at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, or take it a step further in the spring and summer months and hike and climb the incredible canyon's rock faces right here in your home town. Take those dirt bikes out over the many trail options in Montrose and surrounding areas, for every level of rider. And in the winter months, scratch that riding itch on your snow bike!

Fishing and Game

Enjoy fishing? Fly fish on the Uncompahgre River in several locations, on your own or with an experienced guide. Enjoy river water sports like tubing, kayaking, rafting and paddle boarding at Montrose Water Sports Park. You’ll find boating and other water sports and fishing at Ridgway Reservoir only about 20 minutes south of Montrose or at Curecanti Canyon and Blue Mesa roughly 45 minutes east of Montrose. Adventure abounds endlessly with a beautiful town surrounded by BLM land, trails, and more. Live your life here, where you can work AND play moments from your very own piece of paradise.
