The Grove offers a custom home buying and build experience without the stress. We’ve set up easy steps to get you into your dream home seamlessly all while having a fun design and build process.
step 1:
Explore
The Grove offers a range of home sizes and designs to fit your lifestyle. The first step will be to select your lot, home, and exterior architectural style. Our website here will take you through these processes but don’t worry, when meeting with the sales team, you will confirm and learn more about selections. We recommend either browsing the homes (link in the top right of screen) or if you’d like a more curated approach, you can use our Design Questionnaire below.
Our Sales Team will then help you identify your preferred lot within The Grove, Home, and architectural selections for that home.
step 2:
Qualify
Next, submit your pre-qualification letter to The Grove Sales Team. Pre-qualification can help identify your home budget.
step 3:
Reserve
Once you’ve met with our sales and financing teams to identify the best path moving forward, you will make a 10% deposit to reserve your lot and home. This will also trigger the design and customization process.
step 4:
Design
Once a deposit is made, the real exciting part begins! You will receive your curated Design Options and Upgrades Books which will offer exterior materials, flooring, tile, paint, and fixture selections. Your assigned design consultant will guide you through the customization process in 2-3 in-person or remote selection meetings. You will receive the Design Options and Upgrades Books for review before you meet with your design consultant to help you be prepared to make fun selections!
Upgrades Payment and Permitting

You’ve made all of your selections and upgrades. We will collect a payment for the upgrade selections at this time. Once received, we will submit for building permit review with the City of Montrose. The Grove handles all required permits and approvals. Just sit back and get ready to watch your home become a reality!
step 6:
Construction
The Grove will handle all phases of construction. We will provide you with updates throughout the process so you can keep a pulse on the build. All of your selections have already been made during the Design and Selection phase so you can rest assured that the wonderful wall sconce you selected is getting properly set!
step 7:
Move-In
Yes, I know, that went by quick! We’ve had a blast and it’s now time to move into your custom single family home at The Grove. After some paper work, we’ll hand over the keys and get you set up with the HOA portal and all warranty information for your home and products. Living in a space that has your touch with our curated design process is something quite special and we are thankful to have you be a part of The Grove!
